About the Event

Today, running is one of the fastest growing sports and the most popular mass participation activity in the country. Adding to the sporting culture of Kolkata, Kolkata Police, is for the first time, organising a Half Marathon to promote the culture of safe driving.

Professional and amateur runners from Kolkata and around the country will have a platform to showcase their talent and experience the rarefied atmosphere that pervades such a sporting event. The participants will also be able to propagate and promote the culture of safe driving.

The event is being organised for mass participation of people to spread awareness towards mass cultural change to better road etiquettes and compliance to rules and regulations to achieve our Vision of making Kolkata world's safest city for all road users with world class commuting experience.



Kolkata Police is organising an Exhibition to provide a platform for Manufacturers, Engineering and Technology firms, Creative Mass education content creators, Vendors etc from across the world to showcase their products, services and solutions developed for efficient traffic management and improved road safety. This kind of exhibition is being organised for the first time in the city at a strategically located venue.

The exhibition will be visited by large number of senior police officers involved in decision making roles for all over the country apart from Engineers, professionals, NGOs, researchers, academia who will be attending the conference. It is open exhibition and therefore members of the public, organised group of school children and others will also visit the exhibition. Exhibition is also intended to create public awareness toward road safety.

Conference cum Exhibition will complete the entire eco system of Traffic management and road safety and will facilitate quick adoption of products, services and technologies successfully adopted by various cities thereby benefiting everyone.

National Conference on Urban road traffic management and safety: Challenges and Interventions

A high level Conference will be held where the focus will be on adoption of new innovative products, technologies and solutions to India specific challenges in the field of traffic management and road safety.
